What is New in 2022

New Year, new trends in business technology, and a NOT so new company. InteleCONNECT will be celebrating our 15th year in 2022! Our monthly Lunch Gig will continue with our January presenter being Spectrum Business.  DID YOU KNOW? – I got my start in telecommunications world, selling Cable Modem internet when it was first being delivered to the world, back when it was NEW.  It was hard at times because you were explaining a new technology to the businesses and how fiber was brought to a node, and then branched out to coax cable into your office and VOILA, high-speed internet of 1.5Mbps was delivered to you at a fraction of the cost of a traditional T1.  Hard to believe that was only 23 years ago and I was merely in grade-school. ?

I was joking with our Spectrum presenters that we should title their presentation, “It’s not your mama’s cable anymore” because of all the service offerings Spectrum has added.  Offerings like 5G back-up, WIFI, & security suites but, I don’t want to spoil their presentation, so you will have to join us to hear more.

The technology industry in general has some new trends to watch for in 2022.

Bundled Services: Some companies are taking a bundled approach.  There are many SMB’s and start up businesses that may not know what they need or where to turn to get their network infrastructure, security, and service offerings. There are companies that will “bundle” it all together in one complete package for your business.  These “one stop shop” options can make life easy for SMB’s to get what they need on one invoice and keep things simple, as well as affordable.

Though this is certainly an option, that is not to say it is right for every business.  We know there are many of you that may have your own trusted IT person either in-house or outsourced.  If that is the case, then the key is knowing where your business’s IT expertise stops and where the carriers begin.  How does one meld the two together so that they are playing in the sandbox nicely (and securely I might add)? A full-service agency like InteleCONNECT can help.

So, here are some trends to watch for this year:

  • With the 5G framework in place, we will start to see more advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to enhance automation. IOT is exploding in every industry!
  • With ransomware, phishing, DDoS attacks increasing and continuing data breaches, we will see more emphasis on cybersecurity and keeping your data safe.
  • Cloud Solutions with single sign-on solutions for the remote workers to access company data safely and securely.
  • Providing Digital Touchpoints for customers, the omnichannel experience. Contact Center as a Service (CCAAS) will continue to rise as businesses are finding it necessary to communicate with their customers in multiple platforms like chat, SMS, email, social media, and phone.
  • SDWAN and managed infrastructure to improve businesses internet connection and quality of service (QOS) as well as prioritize data traffic on your business’s network.

Technology will always have NEW services, NEW products, and NEW trends, the one thing that will always remain constant is InteleCONNECT’s desire to keep you connected, whatever that may look like for your business.  We are here to help you navigate the ever-changing world of business communications and be your technology advocate to make sure that all resources are playing nice in your sandbox.  Happy New Year!
